High contrast without the complexity of pigmented inks
Printing on dark or difficult surfaces often presents two challenges at once: achieving good contrast and ensuring stable printer performance. In many cases, pigment-based inks offer visual benefits but also cause more operational issues.
The Videojet 1580 C was developed specifically to balance these two requirements. It is a CIJ printer designed for soft pigment inks, engineered to perform as closely as possible to a standard dye-based printer.
Visible and stable codes
The ink formula and reservoir design help reduce pigment settling, which helps maintain the contrast and legibility of codes over time. In addition, Dynamic Calibration automatically adjusts settings to maintain marking quality under varying environmental conditions.
Maintenance similar to that of a standard printer
Videojet points out that the 1580 C has cleaning cycles and maintenance intervals comparable to those of a conventional dye-based CIJ printer, including scheduled maintenance at approximately 5,000 hours. This makes it easier to integrate into production.
Modern operation and connectivity
The SIMPLICiTY™ interface, Wi-Fi connectivity, and remote access options make the system easier to use and facilitate better integration into the factory. With speeds of up to 271 m/min, it can be used on a variety of production lines where contrast is critical.
