In applications where the product is thin and moves continuously in the form of a web, film, or fabric, metal detection must be highly sensitive and uniformly distributed across the entire width. Here, the geometry of the equipment is just as important as the sensor’s performance.
The CASSEL Metal Shark FL is designed specifically for such processes. Its flat design makes it suitable for installation under or between conveyor lines, without complicating the mechanical integration. The system detects very small metal particles in textiles, nonwovens, films, and other flat materials.
Coverage over large working widths
The detector is available in wide formats and can inspect the material across its entire effective surface. This is important in applications where a single metal particle, a broken needle, or a fine fragment can compromise the product or cause problems further down the line.
Flexible installation and simple operation
The compact version allows for adjustment of the orientation to accommodate ascending or descending material flow. TeachAssistant, self-calibration functions, and intuitive menus reduce setup time and simplify daily use.
Suitable for audit and cleaning requirements
The Metal Shark FL can be configured to meet hygiene and washdown requirements, including LPW or HPW versions. In addition, event logging and connectivity to SHARKNET support traceability and compliance.
