Segmented detection for flat and wide materials
In applications where the product is very flat and wide, simply detecting metal is not always enough. It is often important to know where the contaminant is located in order to reduce waste and intervene more precisely in the process.
The CASSEL Metal Shark Combi is designed specifically for this type of application. The multi-segment sensor detects very small metal particles and indicates their location within specific areas of the material. This helps protect machinery and limits scrap to only the affected section.
Suitable for tiles and wide products
The system is typically used for wood panels, plastics, textiles, nonwovens, paper, or films. The rotating crossbeam allows it to adapt to vertical or inclined material flows, offering true flexibility in design and integration.
High sensitivity and precise localization
4-quadrant technology and multi-segment architecture provide high sensitivity, even for very small particles. In certain applications, the system can detect iron as small as 0.5 mm and stainless steel as small as 0.9 mm, with localization on specific segments of the product.
Flexible configuration for complex lines
The Metal Shark Combi can be configured for very wide widths and a variable number of sensor plates. Optionally, swivel arms or height adjustment can be used, making it suitable for special lines and for integration into complex systems.
What applications is it suitable for?
- sheets, webs, and very wide materials
- textiles, nonwovens, paper, plastic, and panels
- applications where it is necessary to locate the contaminant
- lines where reducing scrap and protecting equipment are priorities
