Precise 3D measurements directly on the production line

In applications where dimensions matter, a 2D image is not enough. Differences in height, deformations, or variations in profile may go undetected, even if the product appears visually correct.

The Cognex In-Sight L38 solves this type of problem using 3D laser scanning. The system generates detailed surface profiles and enables the precise measurement of object height, shape, and position in real time.

Laser profiling for dimensional inspection

With high resolution along the Z-axis and up to 1,920 points per profile, the sensor can detect subtle variations in geometry. It is suitable for thickness measurements, level checks, shape inspection, or surface defect detection.

Suitable for various distances and applications

The series includes several models, each optimized for a specific measurement range and field of view. From compact applications involving short distances to measurements on larger objects, the system can be selected based on actual production requirements.
